HISTORY
In 1993, after years of working at a local dealership, Gunther Hirschmann opened the doors of Star Motors, Inc.
Gunther saw the need for a smaller, more personalized option for people who needed Mercedes service and repair. Meticulous in nature, Gunther had more to offer clients than what he could provide at the dealership. Ken Kolb joined Gunther in 2003. Both Ken and Gunther made the decision to retire in early 2017 and Joey and Heather Mitchell proudly took ownership. After many years in Alaska and working at a dealership there, Joey realized his passion was offering personalized service and working directly with the vehicle owner. Star Motors provided the perfect atmosphere for him to do just that.

Joey attended Universal Technical Institute in Arizona and after graduation was accepted into the Mercedes-Benz Elite program. After completion of the Elite program, he worked for the Mercedes dealership in Alaska.
In addition to being a skilled technician, Joey is extremely good at explaining vehicle diagnostics. He is detail-oriented and very personable.
Heather Mitchell is the office manager. Heather has extensive business knowledge from many years working in the insurance industry. After moving from Alaska, she opted to concentrate on the business and leave her insurance career behind. She loves working with people and has brought a new dimension to the front counter. She will likely be the friendly voice you hear when you call.
